I used to live close to the railroad station at Itzling and in fact often hopped on a local train there for a quick ride to Salzburg’s main rail station. I was amused one day to see a McDonald’s sign right next to one of a series of holy columns which the faithful can follow along the Plainstrasse to the church of Maria Plain. The Tabak Trafik (tobacconist) completes the trinity of contrasting messages. The title of the painting I took from the ad: “Simply Good”.
