I like to take walks on the Mönchsberg in Salzburg. When I look down on the city I often think that the many church towers form a kind of "bouquet of towers". The  particular photo also captures another aspect of Salzburg: dreary, cloudy weather, very typical. I only started painting with acrylic paints after I moved to Salzburg. This was one of my first acrylic pictures. Later pictures contain several deviations from the photo, but here I have more or less painted everything in the photo, so the composition decisions came in the photography stage.
