The Bürglstein ( little castle rock) is a small hill in Salzburg between the Volksgarten and the city accident hospital. From there you have a beautiful view of the fortress and the Nonntal neighborhood. This small park overlooks a busy street and offers a bit of peace and quiet. I painted this picture with palette knives. I wanted to show the colors and the shimmering light. The Bürglstein is close to where I live. I took the photo in the early spring of 2020, when I was first exploring my new neighborhood.
