The picture shows Lake Hallstatt from Obertraun (in the Salzkammergut, Austria's lake district.) You can see Hallstatt on the far bank. I like this deep, mysterious lake. I think the lake warrants a monster, like Loch Ness. But unfortunately there doesn't seem to be anything like that here. For this picture I started with a pink-orange primer: what then shows through and brings a warmth into the picture, where cool, dark tones predominate.
