I almost always paint from my own photos. This is an exception. My sister-in-law Lynn Nadeau in Marblehead, MA posted this photo once on Facebook and I liked it. It's also a familiar scene because when I'm visiting her, I also hang my laundry on this line. She's against clothes driers! The photo represents the joy of summer: variety of flowers, lush greenery, warmth and clean laundry dancing on the line. I made only small changes to the photo, mainly making the white flowers purple.
